there's a bit of an embarrassing story here... a few years ago a nice chap named Toekneebob commissioned me. I wasn't too confident in my abilities at that time, and though I accepted the challenge, I never could get his character quite right and let the whole thing slip on by. Fortunately I never asked for payment, but it still irked me and its been on my mind all this time. So I finally sat down and took another stab, and I'm pleased with the results. Its still not what I think he wanted, but its sexy as hell and I'm very proud of it. At any rate, I now consider it giftart. Its some of the best pencil work I've done, and I'm happy with pretty much all of it. I just regret not having a working scanner to capture its full glory. This is from my digital camera in poor lighting, but I think the drawing still comes across well enough. anyway, Toekneebob is copyright his playa, and the drawing is copyright Seth Desmoen (william bell) 2008

just another sketch. One of my better quick pencil sketches, I'm getting much better with a sense of naturalism and energy, as well as integrating faces into the pose. I still need to break my habit of placing limbs in awkward profiles though, I don't know why I keep doing that...

I did this a while back and liked how it came out, though that shoulder looks too round, the acromion process should be sticking out a bit more. anyway, here it is for your amusement
